Screen Flanders

Get all the necessary details on the Screen Flanders support measure, on how to apply for funding and follow up on payments, deliverables and communication.

What is it? How does it work?

Screen Flanders is the Flanders government's economic measure to support feature films and series in the Flanders Region. The aim of the measure is to provide an economic stimulus to the Flanders audiovisual sector and to put the region on the map as an attractive partner for international co-productions.

With an annual budget of 3.5 million euros, spread over two separate calls, Screen Flanders offers support to audiovisual (co-)productions that spend (part of) their budget in the Flanders Region. The support measure is selective and primarily uses economic criteria in its assessment.

Belgian producers can apply for support for fiction, animation and documentary features and series for a maximum amount of 400,000 euros. The support is awarded as refundable advances on net receipts.

Foreign producers interested in applying can do so by co-producing with a Belgian producer who satisfies all the selection criteria.
