The Ardennes to compete in Les Arcs

Robin Pront’s feature debut The Ardennes will take part in the Official Competition at the European Film Festival in Les Arcs, France (12-19 December).

The Ardennes is one of 10 feature films selected for Official Competition in Les Arcs and is thus in line for the festival’s main prize, the Crystal Arrow. Kevin Janssens, Jeroen Perceval (Borgman) and Veerle Baetens (The Broken Circle Breakdown) play the main roles in this Flemish noir thriller, which is produced by Savage Film (Bullhead), about two brothers who head to the Ardennes with a specific mission in mind.

The Ardennes will also be featured in the Les Arcs Summit, an annual platform bringing together independent distributors and film professionals to focus on the exhibition of European films in France.

The Ardennes received support from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund/Film Fund of Flemish Cultural Affairs Minister Sven Gatz and was also backed by the Screen Flanders economic fund, under the aegis of Flemish Economic Affairs Minister Philippe Muyters and Flemish Cultural Affairs Minister Gatz.
